what now.. I've zero doubt the scumbag will appeal though with cases in LA also being brought "..Weinstein still faces further criminal charges, for rape and sexual assault, in Los Angeles.." you have to hope it will be the last freedom he sees.. behind bars for the rest of his life..
 
Cynical me I thought that the pantomime of him turning up on a Zimmer and his defence pleading he would die in prison if he got more than five years would get him a reduced sentence.

It is a disgusting and tawdry affair and I don't think it is possible to be "pleased" about something like this but it should give some succour to those who find themselves abused, bullied and worse.
 
Im amazed the slimy snake has kept his mouth shut. That type of behaviour is rife in Hollywood and he could have gave up other names for a shorter deal. He will probably go the same way as Epstein in a month or two.

He’s 70 now and he’s been a rapist for at least 30 years.. he’s enjoyed the trappings of a successful career in the movies. He’s not gonna do too bad out of the situation. Room and board, free health care..
 
Not quite the retirement lodgings & 'life' he imagined his wealth reputation & connections would bring him though..

As good as the sentence is, don't discount the fact the punishments are harsh due to 'for profit' prisons too. A lot of cheap goods are produced using legal slavery of prisoners.

I think its more about people taking control of what he had, he set himself up for this fall, be interesting to see whats happened to his businesses since he went inside
