LL's promotion season was probably my favourite season too.
Amazing finish to the league season: I think we won 3 matches in 6 days to clinch it.
Great cup runs too.

Wolves was an odd day all round: doubts as to whether the match would go ahead due to a fire the previous night. Molineux was a strange place at the time, with the new ground being built 50m or so away from the where the old ground had stood.



Sheffield Wednesday at home too; we conceded a horror goal, with Pearsy slipping on his rrrrs as he came out to take a routine through ball, and Mark Bright put it into an empty net. I recall us really being the better side that day, but only getting a 1-1 draw.

Remember absolutely battering Crystal Palace at Christmas, only to be beaten by a wonder goal from Simon Osborne and Higgy getting a couple in a draw away at Everton when we should have won!

Could have sworn Mustoe was playing. False memory season I guess.
