So I've literally spent the whole summer planning the almost impossible (safely opening a school of 650 kids aged 3-18 during a global pandemic). Today was supposed to be day one of staff induction (and I've spent most of last week on calls with nervous staff to reassure them) but I am still sat here working from home. Why? Because 2020 (god bless her) decided to "level up" again and throw some serious riots into downtown Chicago last night, leaving me scrambling around at 6 a.m today to close the school and re-plan day one as a virtual induction day.
When will this craziness end?!!!
Is 9:30 a.m on a Monday too early for a beer? I could have it in a coffee mug for the Zoom meetings
