I had been on a demonstration in London after the government announced the closure of Smiths Dock in the 80’s. Mo sat in our company on the train back from London drinking can for can with us all.

Really good company and she could tell a story.

A very warm and genuine lady.

Met he many times through my work, always liked a chat, plain speaking and happy to supply toast and a cup of tea.

Very sad loss not only for the area but also for politics I think.

She came to visit us as a group of students at Teesside Uni in around 1990. Had a more informal chat with her afterwards. She made me a cup of tea and insisted I had a biscuit. Lovely lady and so down to earth as others have remarked.
