1622 counts of racism

Many people just don't get it. There are people in our region insisting that calling someone the 'P' word isn't racist, and taking grave offence at being called out. We've a long, long way to go.

Twitter basically killing off the idea of ID requirements:

"Our data suggests that ID verification would have been unlikely to prevent the abuse from happening - as of the permanently suspended accounts, 99 per cent of account owners were identifiable. Since our update in February, we've improved our proactive tools to identify racist abuse and removed just under 13,000 tweets - of which 95 per cent were identified proactively."

Usual right wingers on social media were saying just after the final that barely any abuse was from the UK, were they not??

You mean the Police, Premier League and Kick It Out who claimed this?

I made a point of looking and I didn't see our players take the knee. Fulham players did. I know Britt said they decided against it last season for a number of reasons but I thought we might pick it up again this season.

I think ikpeazu took the knee didn’t he?

I honestly don't think so, but I guess he may have. It looked to me like none of them did which seemed like a predetermined action. Didn't Britt say something along the line of they were sick of nothing being done to seriously combat racism and that taking the knee just seemed like an empty gesture. It seems like it's followed on from there. Obviously it will have been discussed.

Personally, I would still like them all to do it but it's up to the players for sure.

Well I was watching it and obvs when the whistle went they only showed the players in the centre circle area...I think it was Howson and Watmore, they definitely didn't kneel.
We didn't kneel last season so I don't know why it would have changed tbh...
