In 7 games!!

I like Michael Carrick as I've mentioned in previous posts but it don't matter who is in charge if your conceding on average 2 goals per game then your heading for relegation. I have no faith in us keeping any clean sheets in the coming games either.

Either someone comes in to work alongside Carrick who has some real experience in this league to help him or we need to let him go I'm afraid to say.

I wonder if it's got anything to do with the injuries to our defenders. I wonder if we continue to leak goals when our fullbacks return or if we will see an improvement in our defense.

We should fire our manager and find out with someone else.. like we did with Warnock

I don't think 2 a game is due to missing defenders. To me a lot of it is just poor defending as a team. Look at WBA game - first goal a couple of challenges in the box were lost, second goal WBA allowed to go for goal and not challenged, third goal wayward back pass straight to WBA player in the box, fourth goal a couple of challenges lost/not closed down enough. WBA had only 7 goal attempts and scored 4.

Look at the goals we've conceded from outside the box - that's on the midfield to close down and track attackers as they make their way up the park.
