Here we are 1 year on. Catalogue of mistakes too many to mention. 5th in World standings in total cases and deaths. And the lying cheating corrupt bar stewards are going to get away with it. The vaccine has come to save them and unfortunately there maybe the odd scapegoat after a public inquiry but the government will survive.

Most of the 50 % have only had 1st jab which gives as low as 52% immunity (and then only after 12 days) , they need the 2nd jab to get to 70+% immunity. Added to this we don't know the effect of the government deciding to change the period between jabs from the recommended 3/4 weeks to 12 weeks, and we don't know how long the immunity lasts or its efficacy against every variant

I'm heartened by the the reductions in hospitalisations and deaths.
I believe the vaccination programme has had a hand in that.
