23/12 - WBA (H)
26/12 - Rotherham (A)
29/12 - Huddersfield (A)
01/01 - Coventry (H)
06/01 - Aston Villa (H)
09/01 or 10/01 - SF Leg 1
13/01 - Millwall (A)
20/01 - Rotherham (H)
23/01 or 24/01 - SF Leg 2
27/01 - Birmingham

That's a lot of games quickly. Big challenge for the management/coaching team to keep what's left of the squad fresh and available. Hopefully get a couple of reinforcements quickly when the window opens. There's been hints that there's a couple of deals already done. Would be nice to see a couple of fresh faces for the Villa game.

I can see a couple of the youngsters getting opportunities in the next few weeks. Obviously seen McCabe and Kav last night. Hopefully they'll get more minutes shortly. I think they could both start against Villa.

Hopefully can manage out way through the next 4 games and have some signings and/or players back from injury
With a semi final a few days after I would think they would be careful about who plays against Villa

I think the Villa game has to be treat as a bit of a development game now although I would rather it have been against a team that wasn't as strong as Villa. There's the risk that if you throw a few kids in that we get absolutely walloped and damage their confidence a bit.

Bloody Cooper getting sacked has probably scuppered us getting two class defensive players from Forest early in the month. I imagine the new man will want to have a good luck at his players before loaning out any of them.

were not missing out on players that aren't ours and that we might not have been getting anyway are we.. not again!

Kieran Scott said the deals were pretty much sorted.. so if we were in for either of their two defenders.. then you would think that Forest would have replacements lined up for them too.

Forrest are not going to replace with lesser players are they.

Anyway.. plenty of names to go round yet..

RB: Sam Curtis/Conor Bradley
CB: Charlie Cresswell/Nathaniel Adjei

This seasons run.. but with last season's results from the fixtures

23/12 - WBA (H) - 1-1 D
26/12 - Rotherham (A) - 1-0 L
29/12 - Huddersfield (A) - 4-2 L
01/01 - Coventry (H) - 1-1 D
13/01 - Millwall (A) - 2-0 L
20/01 - Rotherham (H) - 0-0 D
27/01 - Birmingham (A) - 1-3 W

6 points from 7 games..

although at the same point last year under Carrick we won 15 points from 7 games

23 L Burnley (A)
24 W Wigan (H)
25 W Blackburn (A)
26 W Birmingham (A)
27 W Millwall (H)
28 L Sunderland (A)
29 W Watford (H)

So with that in mind.. where do our 5 wins come from to stay on track from last season?

23/12 - WBA (H) - 5th.. tough game
26/12 - Rotherham (A) - bottom of the table.. must win
29/12 - Huddersfield (A) - again another banana skin
01/01 - Coventry (H) - 'football friends' surely they owe us some points?
VILLA
SF LEG 1
13/01 - Millwall (A) - 2-0 L
20/01 - Rotherham (H) - it's gonna be a tough ask imo
SF LEG 2
27/01 - Birmingham (A) - dark horses.. probably have some new blood in the squad.

West Brom is gonna be a mammoth task imo.. half expecting a defeat
Millwall.. that is a TOUGH GAME after two cup games
Birmingham.. again bit of a Milwall situation

If we can manage to get a result against West Brom.. then a bit more breathing space for Millwall away.. so TOUGH
BANANA SKINS ALL OVER THE SHOP!

36 points if we repeat the same results from last year
45 points if we repeat the same form as last year
