1 week today! the return of 5/7 a side

Yup get to start coaching my U15s again...it's been so long that I'm wondering which ones will have grown full beards.

I envy you, loved my football, now in the past

Cycling, walking & gardening, which I'm doing today as now my past time
give coaching a go, you get to put your boots on, and demonstrate the odd top bins without having to run around and get out of breath.

Speak for yourself! I’ve lost 3 kg in lockdown! Don’t think I’ll be match fit though
Could only wish I lost weight! Or even remained at the same weight I was pre-lockdown.

Definitely going to be paggered after 10 minutes.

Hopefully won't take me long to get back up to speed.....(he says whilst crying)

I was thinking of walking football before lockdown kicked in a year tomorrow, not so sure now

I'm really looking forward to getting back at it. I've put a stone on mind and I've been running. The routine of the gym has been a huge miss for me. Running on pavement plays havoc with my knees.

Yes looking forward to wednesday lunchtime 5 a side at Goals........................and waiting for the day we can return to our normal home indoors at Grangetown Boys Club

Worth giving it a try Erimus,I had a few games couple of years ago and really enjoyed it.
It was at Norton Cricket Club on the all weather pitches with a mixed group of abilites
and ages from 50 to around 70 but well run and a real friendly group of guys.
Cheers, 👍

I love 5 and 6 a side but given the majority of players will not have had a vaccine I find it strange and honestly off putting to be hanging on to another sweaty group of fellas all within a few cm of me at some pint during the game. Just doesn’t feel right that one day you can’t go near anyone with a barge pole and the next you can be right in their face

In my 30's I would play up to 4 times a week, 40's not as much but still weekly, I was hoping to get to 50th but at 48 playing football I suffered a knee injury which scuppered my football from then on, running anyway
