In my book the Indian red list delay was criminal. Not an actual crime true but well criminal in its incompetence.

It was incompetence as well as negligence. The former is a man out of his depth made ever more dangerous by him and a boss who fail to take advice until its too late.
The reason I say negligent is because I think Johnson knew exactly what he was doing and kept the corridor open to India because diplomatically it's a bad look to ban travel, then ask for a trade deal.
