No, it's not irrelevant.

Sunak, and Biden for that matter, made a huge error stating that Israel has unequivocable support. This opens the door for Israel to approach this however they want without criticism, regardless of the human cost involved.

The Germans did a similar thing to the Warsaw Ghetto in 1943 - starved it of all resources to force the Jews and Polish fighters out. Ok Gaza is bigger, but the basic principle is the same. The Germans called the members of the Ghetto terrorists too.

I am very uncomfortable with the response from Israel and the unilateral support for it from the West.

Hamas need ending but I am not sure starving 2 million people is the way to do this. It’s very grim.

I agree with you and can’t get my head around the response from Israel and feel it is way over the top. At the same time I’m struggling with what Hamas did and watching the videos of innocent people being hunted down and killed is beyond belief. Can you imagine putting yourself in their place. The number of stories coming out of loved ones being on the phone to their families when Hamas breaks in heartbreaking. Then you watch the Palestinian children suffering due to bomb attacks. Where are the grown ups here?
