Correct.Forgive if I’m wrong but it’s just collection of garden waste only that will be charged for, you can still put it in your household bin if your so minded.

That’s not the case in R&C, there are only certain items that can be put in your bins. R&C even employed bin inspectors recently.Forgive if I’m wrong but it’s just collection of garden waste only that will be charged for, you can still put it in your household bin if your so minded.
That’s fine. If it’s Green waste it will decompose.Loads will just fly tip unfortunately
Is it all year round or just the April to September collections? And so it begins...
Council will now charge £40 a year to collect garden waste. No doubt next year it will be outsourced to Corney and Musgrave and the price will double.

I understand why the tips introduced appointment systems under covid but why has that not been scrapped now?Darlo have it, about £35 pa. You can take it to the tip for free so if you factor in your petrol and your time its good value and it is fairer on those without gardens not subsidising folk in bigger houses.
Kind of agree. I sympathise a lot with councils, they're between a rock and a hard place thanks to tory cuts. It's a reasonable decision in the circumstances, there are far more important priorities for them. It's fair enough in the current climate, not everyone has a garden, so is it fair for it to come out of their council tax when other more important things are under threat.
Totally agree on your second point but that's not for local council's to deal with.Kind of agree. I sympathise a lot with councils, they're between a rock and a hard place thanks to tory cuts. It's a reasonable decision in the circumstances, there are far more important priorities for them.
Not sure I'd use the word "fair" though when the millionaires and billionaires in this country are getting richer and richer at the same time everyone else is told they need to tighten their belts because there's not enough money.
No, although those that are tory led don't really have much of a leg to stand.Totally agree on your second point but that's not for local council's to deal with.
