Because of Abbott & Corbyn

So are you and others going to continue this diatribe for the next 4 years? I’ve news for you- you can’t change it. We’re stuck with what will be judged as one of the most incompetent governments there has been.

To keep on reminding those who voted them in achieves what, exactly?

If the reminders cause just one person who voted Tory to change their vote it will be worth it.

I doubt there are many posters who voted tory purely because of Corbyn and Abbott, what makes you think people did? It is far more likely they voted tory due to brexit surely?
yeah I think its the other way round. Many people hated Corbyn and Abbott because they were Labour, they didn't hate Labour just because of Corbyn and Abbott. Many people would never ever vote Labour no matter what, but the reason the election tipped so far in the Tories favour was almost purely because of Brexit.

Just shows the power of the media and press. I have no doubt in my mind that Corbyn is a better person than Boris and would likely have been a better PM. We will never know now though.
He may well have been a better person but he got his strategy all wrong on Brexit and a number other issues. People want bullishness and decisiveness, that's why they voted for Boris, it garners more collective confidence. The fact he's turned out to be even worse than many of us thought is irrelevant now, he did what he had to to get him in and Corbyn didn't.

Some food for thought
According to Polls
20% of people believed the Cummins Eye Test story
30% think the government is doing a good job with the Covid response.
Have to assume that lot are Tory voters.

That leaves around 70% of voters for Labour to have a go at.

What names did they label them with?
Monday 30 October 2017 - A Labour MP has been accused of snobbery after he claimed “better educated people” voted to remain in the European Union.

2nd December 2018 - Remainers pushing for second referendum think Brexiteers are 'thick' and 'prejudiced'

15th November 2019 - an LBC caller made the “breathtakingly arrogant” claim that people who voted for Brexit were “ill-informed, uneducated and gullible”.

Sun, Feb 2, 2020 - Thousands mocked Brexit-backing Britons for their “embarrassing celebrations” last night and the hashtag ‘thick’ began trending on Twitter.

26 August 2020, - Labour MP brands Brexit voters ‘fat old racists’

27th Aug 2020 - A Labour MP has called Brexiteers ‘s**tbag racist w****rs’

Should I get more examples?

I agree, but I wouldn't say all 70% hated Corbyn/Abbott and would have otherwise voted Labour. Of those 70%, they won't win them all over, clearly. That said, I've absolutely no doubt Starmer will be PM and I suspect the majority of western states will have new governments during or very quickly after this pandemic.

The media did an absolute job on Corbyn and those who base their vote on paper headlines and dodgy (Tory sponsored) Facebook memes lapped it up.

how many times did we see a meme alluding to Abbott’s numeracy skills, how many times was Corbyn branded a racist, a terrorist sympathiser, a communist and in league with the Russians?

The biggest joke of all being it is the Tory’s, Johnson and Cummins who are funded by the Russians, have ties to the Russians and have policy aligned to the likes of Cambridge Analytica.

Brexit and the 2019 Election were an absolute master class in manipulating a country to ignore the positives in a political manifesto whilst drawing attention to perceived flaws which were in fact complete fabrication.

I despair.

2nd December 2018 - Remainers pushing for second referendum think Brexiteers are 'thick' and 'prejudiced' - Think no say

Sun, Feb 2, 2020 - Thousands mocked Brexit-backing Britons for their “embarrassing celebrations” last night and the hashtag ‘thick’ began trending on Twitter. - Not even going to respond

26 August 2020, - Labour MP brands Brexit voters ‘fat old racists’ - Same person

27th Aug 2020 - A Labour MP has called Brexiteers ‘s**tbag racist w****rs’ - Same person

Should I get more examples?
- Yes please more than one person.

so two of those having nothing to do with the Labour Party and one is twisting a fact based statement into a dig.

if you voted Tory because you were offended by nonsense like this, you have been as subverted by the media as anyone else.

I didn't vote Tory because of Brexit - I voted Tory because Labour are non-existent in my local area

There is no doubt for me that the establishment was threatened by a Corbyn led Labour. The smears about nuclear deterrent, terrorist sympathiser, anti Semitism, Abbot's mathematical prowess, BBC showing a montage with Corbyn wearing an Ushanka, Abbott with an M&S mojito on a trainetc., etc,.

And if you think this lot will deliver a "Brexit" that resembles any of the ludicrous descriptions that were touted four years ago you are indeed stupid.

Yeah, agree they all didn't hate JC. The maths are scary for Starmer to win - just can't see it.
Fingers firmly crossed tho.

So you voted Tory because everyone else did basically?! Wow! Can't add anything to this one.
No? If you must know I'm actually a 'swing voter' ... i'm not a die-hard Tory or member of any political party - I've voted for both Labour and Lib Dem in the past
