It is coming round to that time when we will have wall to wall election coverage. As usual there will be arguments which so often are simply 'I am not voting for that lot'. I have started to ask myself the question above. Might be theoretical and I realise that some things are difficult to quantify, but in no particular order, my priorities -
1) a commitment to correctly funded public services
2) a govt that supports innovation and entrepreneurship and has a credible economic plan
3) a govt that protects the most vulnerable in society
4) a govt that seeks alliances over arguments on the international stage
5) a govt that takes climate change seriously
6) a govt who is honest, both in their dealings behind the scenes but also with the public plus a return to decency in public office
7) a government with a genuine interest in improving the lives of everyone in the country
So what is important for you? I will probably find I have missed some things here.
