What sports were you good at?

Jack of all trades, master of none.

Decent at most things I've tried, but rarely the best. Tennis and footy are my best sports, but possibly only because they're the ones I play the most.

A for effort, B for ability is probably about right I'd say.

"Runner-up" should be my middle name 😎

Loved footy above all else but sadly not that good, was the typical lump up front or at the back, however, was pretty decent bowler, was selected to play in one of the Middlesbrough youth teams but holidays and football got in the way so gave it up and was a decent back row rugby player, again enjoyed it but no time to play or training due to Boro and football

Another one of I can pick up most sports and be decent at them but never elite at any of them.

If I wasn't soo one footed at football, I could maybe class myself as good but might as well not have a left foot when it comes to striking the ball.

I was decent at ping pong at school.

Also not bad a badminton either.

I seem to be better at football the older i get?!

Tennis. Still play at a decent level - county over 45's and first division in local leagues.
At 47 though injuries are getting harder and harder to manage.

Rugby. Was scrum half for my school team. I used to be quick and small when I was a teen. I absolutely loved playing the game at school, and I was quite good at it at the time.

Then when I was about 20 years old I was thinking of joining a club, so went along to watch my friend play in a club game. By halftime 2 players had left by ambulance and my friend headbutted an opposition player and the fans of the other team wanted to kill him. I decided that the real version of the sport was perhaps not for me after all.

Not quite the same, but my housemates at uni both played Rugby (one was the first team captain) and they often tried to convince me to play for the Saturday morning team they had in the local leagues.

The fact they were always coming back with broken fingers, dislocated shoulders etc did put me off quite a bit. Although not as much as the amount of nudity involved in the rugby initiation social. Dipping your b***ks in each others pints etc.

Erm, nah you're alright thanks.

I played for my school rugby team once. I never wanted to play again which irked the sports teacher

Same here. I am so left footed it's not funny. Right foot might as well not be there.

I've coached all 3 of my boys and whilst none of them are world beaters the thing I'm most proud of is that they can all use both feet!!

Swimming and cross country.

I like watching team sports more, but preferred participating in individual events more. Didn't really like being part of a team. Cricket was my preferred team sport to play.

I was the same. Had loads of rugby mates and because I was fast they said I should be a winger. No thank you

Football, Darts, Pool, British Bulldog( sport or pile on 🤷🏻‍♂️), Dominoes, Shithead ( card game) Softball ( after work in either Hyde park or Green Park) I was good at fielding I would remember where each batters style would place the ball, down or up, long or short and be very good at stopping the play dead), Archery found out by accident in my 40's, I thought I was crap because i wasn't hitting the dead centre every time but then someone pointed out i wss consistently grouping them, next to the center, after that i tweaked my aim and was hitting the centre every time.
