What was the best match you've seen as a neutral?

Thought the last World Cup final was an incredible watch too, but given Argentina were dominating and coasting for 80 minutes, I'm not sure it can be the best match.

I can't remember the score but it was the knock out round of euro 2006 (I think). Netherlands v Portugal and there were loads of red cards. 2 each I think. I remember the commentator saying something like "this is not what anyone wants to see" and I was thinking he must be mad because it was brilliant.

The world cup final last year was very good though. Had pretty much everything you want to see.

Man Utd v Ipswich 9-0...mate of mine from Uni was from Partington and managed to get a couple of tickets...bonkers game. Boro won too so crackin' day out 👌🏻

Worked at a very rough social club in Sunderland in my uni days, working behind the bar when they lost the play off semi at home to Palace was pretty special. Although not strictly neutral!!!!

Charlton v Sunderland play off final at Wembley was a cracker but there's so many to choose from.
Watched the game in a mackem pub - it was one of the funniest afternoons of my life. Post game, pub cleared - similar to the SoS at half time - and me and my (Boro supporting) mate were sat chuckling, to put it mildly. 🙂
My mate actually predicted at full time the game would go to pennas, sudden death and Michael Gray would miss to send Charlton up. Spooky.

Saw Fulham beat Juve in April 2010 with a Fulham supporting pal, back when the memory of Steau/Basel was still fresh. Clint Dempsey scored a stunner.
