Mortal Kombat.
8 year old me was absolutely fascinated by this game. I would watch older kids playing on it first and would learn the combinations for the fatalities from them (no internet in those days!)
At home at the time I only had a C64 so MK in the arcades was breathtaking.

I have a miyoo mini pocket handheld which plays almost all of these arcade games and early consoles like the snes and megadrive. You can get them on ebay for about £60. I would highly recommend. track and field ports brilliantly on the device plenty of button bashing fun.

I have an Anbernic RG353V and it's probably the best purchase i've made in a very long time.
I've even got all my old Amiga, C64 and Speccy games running on it.
