He will be explaining to the French people what is already happening, and why. He has signed a mutual defence pact with Ukraine, which basically means they're in with them. They'll mostly be in Western Ukraine, "policing" .... border patrols etc But they've got Rafales flying missions already, and have had for a while. European leaders all had sight of Russia's long term plans. Some have reacted overtly, like Macron, some covertly. Some are more "all in" than others. Germany is a little reticent. But, they all recognised the threat to long term European peace and stability being posed by the current Moscow regime. Macron is, of course, making political capital out of it ... and it will particularly give him some "glowing cheeks" that he is "leading" and Scholtz is "prevaricating". Anyway, that's what I think it will be about.
