I was thinking just that will it be a meeting with the headteacher to explain who's the boss and who do you think you are ... or just a tick box exercise to keep the RF happy whilst the dust settles?
Call me cynical but I fully expect the latter. They will perhaps be more mindful with the Comms in future, which was the more surprising thing here than the actual increase.

If the prices come down to the levels people want and feel ours should be at (Huddersfield or whoever) I’ll be very surprised. They’ll have to come down a long, long way!

There’ll be some kind of explanation and maybe even a gesture. Then next year a more detailed explanation about why they’re going up again.

These meetings with fan groups are all well and good, but we average 27,000.
The groups 'officially' represent a tiny fraction of that number.
MFC would do well to issue fit and proper comms to all supporters...they were quick enough to send us the demand email - sorry, the SC reminder.
I love my club and have done since 1968, but we should be so much better than this.

It’s quite interesting and thought provoking reading this thread. You do start to question things you have always taken for granted. Thinking back over this season there are probably only 5 or 6 games I have looked forward to and maybe only 3 or 4 I have really enjoyed. I think I go simply out of habit and maybe don’t love it as much as I thought. Saying that £620 is quite an expensive habit. Very rare you can’t get a ticket for a home game - only really one or two get near sell out. I can probably see my games of choice for circa £200 to £250 - tend to drive so my free drink is usually Bovril so no big loss either😂. Like many we can now get all the Boro games on streams. I imagine the majority will renew but not sure it will be the vast majority this time around. Next season I imagine Leeds, Leicester and Southampton will have gone up and Sheff Utd, Burnley and AN OTHER poor team will have replaced them so even less attractive games to look forward to. Picking and choosing your games might be the new way for some.

You've missed out the Notebook Gang
😕
So far it's me, Boro Legend, Mr Heron, Witchy Poo and Lord Sugar 👍 We just need one more really for a meet with Steve Gibson 😯

I reccomended Newy , he is your hero and can sign replica shirts from china while chewing the fat over Aboubacar .
Also , I said , 1 person from each group , so I still vote Newy ! Imagine him telling Gibbo how to spend the Crooks war chest 😩

The groups unofficially represent everyone mate. Or they should do.
There was an open evening last week. Everyone invited, tea, biscuits, boro chat, 12th man, Yvonne from the club, a group of people from the west.
It was slow but a start of a larger project, a project trend faction want everyone to be a part of. No barrier on age, sex, colour, wealth. A common goal to improve match day experience for everybody.
Come to the next one. I’m not part of a group but was genuinely excited by the ideas. The seeds.

Theyre not doing this over £30.
I spoke to one, he’s only in his early 20,s. I won’t post his name.
He was genuinely saddened that parents in this area can’t afford to take kids to watch Boro…ever. Full stop. They can’t afford a season ticket or walk up before price rises.

Yeah I know. It’s poverty. Have’s and have nots. Football is a luxury, a hobby, a choice. To towns like ours, and most others in the north it’s more than that. It’s the lifeblood.
We need to be doing more with pricing to get more through the gates, not less (at £30 ish a head more).
