Calum Kavanagh

I watched him a lot last year at Newport and he didn't set the place on fire. You could see loanees that 'had it' when they were at The County, like Mc Burnie, Conor Washington, Ben White, Scott Twine and Antoine Semenyo. Kav tried but always seemed to struggle

I'm glad he's doing well. I'm not overly fussed about sell ons etc. Often a player has to drop a few leagues to do well. He wasn't getting a kick for us.

That said even if he goes 'no higher' than league 1 or 2 it's still a decent career.

Danny Graham is a great example. Went to Carlisle and ended up playing in the prem and being a more than decent champo CF.

If he didn’t get a chance when we have no recognised striker, he was probably never going to get one. However, we don’t have to give every academy prospect a chance in the first team; they have to be good enough/earn it.
