That’s not true at all.
Minds can be changed on here. Plenty of people have changed my mind about things, be it about football, politics, people, consumer stuff or whatever. They’ve done it with reasoned debate or highlighting facts or information I’ve been ignorant or ill-informed about.
I very much doubt I’m the only person to ever have changed their mind about something because of a post I’ve read on here.
 
There are a few posters that seem to concentrate on politics, even though it is primarily a MFC fans board. Personally I like the variety of topics, and there are some very intelligent people on here, but I try to keep at least 50% of mine connected with MFC.

Agree with that. Minds can be changed. The issue is always when they aren't open to that change. I learn a lot from this place.
 
in all the years i have been on this message board it has ALWAYS been about everything and never just about football. IT was ALWAYS political and thats one of the reasons I have hung around so long.
but every now and then we get a whinge about how much politics is posted. it has always been left wing biased because of the fact of where we're all from, thank god. it is a left leaning area(usually)
i think we lost a few daily mail readers to comeonboro.
i have never understood why you just cant leave some posts unread if they clearly are not to your taste.

some posters have taken to insulting other posters directly due to political difference of opinion - thats when it goes wrong. we all need to accept that somebody might think differently but it doesnt make them a bad person.

This is the problem with this board at the moment. Too many posts about poo and wee and not enough people arguing about politics.
