I've seen some rubbish and seen some wonderful stuff too
The man who always stands out for me is Cloughy. The younger supporters missed something special there. I always explain it as "I used to go on a Saturday afternoon to see how many he was going to score, not if he was going to score"

Some start that Rish. It was Mannion’s final season with us and we were relegated, taking us 20 years and Big Jack to rescue us.
I saw nearly all Clough’s goals and just imagine if he’d got the ball off Bill Harris and taken the penalties too.

I've just been to the soft play with my granddaughter and discovered I am now frightened of slides.Its very embarrassing to have a 4 year old shouting come on grandad its not that high when you are sat at the top of a kids slide.

I'm not sure if time has dimmed the memory a little but I don't seem to recollect as many penalties then as we have now but it is a long time ago. I also saw the Charlton game that year - Sam Bartram in goal for them
