Yep if FIFA can give tacit endorsement to being anti-LGBT and our FA go along with it, then how on earth can they expect anyone to take them seriously on their campaigns against racism and sexism in the game?
Does it just need a rich enough country or person to say we don't like that and it stops?
F1 has the same issue in Hungary and Saudi and does nothing towards any meaningful action, it is left to Vettel and Hamilton to speak out.
I really a hope a player being interviewed after a game comes out live on air and calls out the utter disgrace that Qatar hosting the world cup is, and how happy he'll be to get back to the hotel so his partner can suck him off.
Suppose that it just confirms what most of us suspected: that these campaigns were just about branding or being seen to do the right thing. As opposed to being designed to support any genuine change.
If they're being honest they should probably add small print to anything they do from now on. Eg
"Football against racism"*
*As long as no rich racists are too offended by that of course.
