He did well at boro and was a really good ASSISTANT at Real Madrid..It’s a shame. He’s had a few jobs but doesn’t seem to have fit The Bill in any of them.

Can’t imagine it, this guy was raving at her about telling her dad to appoint Karanka or else! She must like him. I'd always said the club should appoint him as a club scout and maybe they're now considering it. Some of his player suggestions were so left-field, especially when he suggested we re-sign Rhodes.
Completely normal behaviour. Can’t imagine it, this guy was raving at her about telling her dad to appoint Karanka or else!
I dont think he has a modest bone in his body lolIn
I think it’s s case that he’s a world class coach but a very modest manager.
Maybe that was the reason why talks with Carrick initially broke down. Carrick was in Gibson's office, just about to sign the contract and Gibson's daughter comes bursting in.Absolutely bonkers!! Can you even imagine?
“Hey Dad, Boro786 told me on twitter that you need to hire Aitor Karanka as manager or you’re gonna lose all the fans and the club will go bust”

No wonder our transfers take so long!!Maybe that was the reason why talks with Carrick initially broke down. Carrick was in Gibson's office, just about to sign the contract and Gibson's daughter comes bursting in.
"Dad wait, before this goes any further, I need to show you something important".
She shows Gibson the 264 tweets she'd received from Boro786 that day, calling for the return of Karanka and Gibson then turns to Carrick. "I'm sorry Michael but I feel we should put things on hold for now and I'll get back to you".
He was crap at Forest and no better at BirminghamDid great in the Championship. I am still trying to forget that Premier league season, which was the worst season in my short memory.
Did great for two seasons in the championship and his Premier League Season was the worst PL season in my long memoryDid great in the Championship. I am still trying to forget that Premier league season, which was the worst season in my short memory.
Incredible that people still think of him soo highly. If a month earlier would have had him back in a heartbeat.
he's an amazing coach/assistant, his preparation for the opposition when he was here was great, he just believed his own hype, thinks everyone is lucky he is around, if he checked his ego at the door and added some humbleness to his game he could have been one of the great managers, but he acts like he Mourinho without the track record to command that respect as an manager. his ego is too big to address this and will odds on blame everyone else when it goes wrong, under the right manager he would add alot to the coaching setup but think his big head has put himself above these roles now to allow him to step back in his lane. From the interviews with Karanka when he was in charge, I thought that he was quite brilliant in many ways, but a control freak and a workaholic. He seemed obsessed with many details and I am not sure whether he relinquished control over anything. To me, it looked like that approach was not a recipe for long term success.
'his preparation for the opposition' had us surrendering without a shot fired most matches in his last season.he's an amazing coach/assistant, his preparation for the opposition when he was here was great, he just believed his own hype, thinks everyone is lucky he is around, if he checked his ego at the door and added some humbleness to his game he could have been one of the great managers, but he acts like he Mourinho without the track record to command that respect as an manager. his ego is too big to address this and will odds on blame everyone else when it goes wrong, under the right manager he would add alot to the coaching setup but think his big head has put himself above these roles now to allow him to step back in his lane.
