The 40th anniversary Blu-ray will be my christmas present to myself this year. (Released on the 28th November...)
When i was a kid i borrowed my mates "recorded off the telly" VHS (Yes, i had a video...) . i watched at least 1 episode a day for 2 years. I'm surprised it still worked when i gave him it back!

I was never really into the Young Ones but I remember first watching this episode with my dad as a teenager and been in stitches all the way through. Thanks for this. Going to see if I can find it on YouTube or iPlayer this evening and give it another watch after work. It's comedy genius.

Unfortunately it's been edited, I know at least one scene in the Bomb episode which has been deleted as it stereotypes terrorists

I cant still recite pretty much every episode 30 years after first watching it. Put it on the other night and annoyed Mrs Jumpers so much she went to bed, as I was pre-empting everything they said.
