Is McNair slow or just lackadaisical? I've often thought he believes the hype that he's some kind of Beckenbauer-like defender and can just stroll through the game, rather than getting the bit between his teeth and going for it.Dijksteel played quite well I thought but his delivery is just terrible. I don't rate McNair, he's just too slow. I'd move Dijksteel back to RCB and have Jones come back in at WB.

Slow. And with a very heavy touch as well - prone to overrunning the ball when in motion with it, putting too much weight on short passes etc. Think his best position is on the bench, coming on wherever to close a game out, but not to help us win one.Is McNair slow or just lackadaisical? It was but that's why I'm happy him playing RCB rather than WB because at RCB it isn't his job to put crosses in. He got in loads of good positions though, obviously got the attacking intent. Not sure if it was an off day or he's always dreadful at crossing. His delivery was appalling on Wednesday night.
I think he's definitely slow. Watch him chasing back after the defenders (1st against Cardiff particularly). He looks like he's running in treacle. He's not great at the slick interplay either. Needs loads of time and space and can pick a pass if given it. When he got played in to the byline he had loads of time and his touch wasn't great and he hesitated so the defender could easily get there to block. Is McNair slow or just lackadaisical? So did Fry for Coventry's goal.It was but that's why I'm happy him playing RCB rather than WB because at RCB it isn't his job to put crosses in. He got in loads of good positions though, obviously got the attacking intent. Not sure if it was an off day or he's always dreadful at crossing.
Jones isn't particularly good at crossing either for a winger, which is why he tries the ball along the floor so often.

true, but defensively he stays on his feet and competes, Jones has had a habit of going to ground regularly this season , slide and miss and out the game. Away to Millwall we can't be allowing them a free run down our right because they'll get balls in the box early and we're still a bit brittle thereHis delivery was appalling on Wednesday night.
I thought he was terrible. His crossing was miles off, he fluffed a couple of easy passes and put an opponent through on goal. I don't want to see him play there again.Dijksteel played quite well I thought but his delivery is just terrible. I don't rate McNair, he's just too slow. I'd have Lenihan for Bola, Jones back at RWB and Dijksteel in for McNair. Midfield and forwards the same as B'ham.Lenihan for McNair and Jones for Dijksteel, but I can see us sticking with the same team.
Lenihan needs to start games as soon as he's match fit,
