No.Nobody on that list excites me, am I alone in that?
No you are not alone in that but according to the Times on line they are interviewing Edwards and O’Neill this week and “possibly one other” and will make a decision very quickly.Nobody on that list excites me, am I alone in that?
I realise this is probably the keyboard equivalent of a flounce but Gary O'Neil getting this would be Gibson spitting in our faces. Who was the Times journo as its behind the paywallNo you are not alone in that but according to the Times on line they are interviewing Edwards and O’Neill this week and “possibly one other” and will make a decision very quickly.
For the first time since I have been supporting Boro, 45 years, I am totally underwhelmed by the thought of a new manager. I don’t see anyone who will move us forward, but will be look forward to being pleasantly surprised. The players have to take some responsibility for where we are but they won’t, Wilder therefore become the easy fall guy, yes he had faults but I’ve not seen anyone mentioned who enthuses me. Hopefully we’ll find an unknown who goes onto be the next big thing!
None of us were cognisant with the atmosphere at the club but reading between the lines it was obviously not at all good and it was affecting the performances. What was more underwhelming though? Another 10 games of this and being relegation faves by Christmas? Or us trying to do something about it?
I was all for giving Wilder a bit more time but the same excuses every week blaming the players individual mistakes wears thin. He has had ample time to coach these out of the team. I think it was BS.
His most recent record was worse than Woodgate’s with us and he’s got a wandering eye that would make Steve McClaren blush! What odds Chris Wilder? - he has 4 promotions in 10 years - win percentage of 43.5%
A very good bet I would say.I backed Cooper at 33/1 last night with forest 4 nil down. 6/1 second favourite this morning.
Thought the bookies would have caught onto it quicker.A very good bet I would say.
I agree with your sentiments. I am disappointed that another capable manager has failed at Boro. What was more underwhelming though? Another 10 games of this and being relegation faves by Christmas? Or us trying to do something about it?

Steve McClaren….wonder if it’s time for our most successful manager to come home? Perhaps Woodgate’s gained some more experience? His most recent record was worse than Woodgate’s with us and he’s got a wandering eye that would make Steve McClaren blush!
Fowler appears on these lists every time. Must have mentioned in an interview somewhere that he's keen to manage in England, which I suppose is the natural step after an underwhelming stint with East Bengal Utd.35 names there and I could easily scratch off 20 who have zero chance of getting the job. Wonder how much has been thrown on Karanka, Woodgate or Robbie Fowler ffs
