Cheers TeaCider, appreciate that, quite emotional, a very long time overdue but he's here now, so a big thankyou to everyone who petitioned & campaigned for the statue, gutted I wasnt there
I know our good friend Peter Hodgson, aka Bill Stroler, who will have been involved in the statue will have been ecstatic, RIP Peter x

One more thing, CW should do is take GC off the plinth on monday & stick him in the Boro players changing room leading up to kickoff
 
Very emotional! Seeing his family there, his son. Seeing Mogga there knowing he’s diddling our ugly cousin.. Pally, Bernie and Proctor looking like the next edition of top gear. Bauser grinning with his chest pumped out and his head held high! We’ve waited for this striker to be unveiled.. for about the same time in normally takes. Well overdue.. but what a job the guy has done! Superb! The new plinths look miles better too!

Didn’t see Chris Wilder there or any of our current crop. Would have been nice to have seen our current strikers there.. just to give them a shove in the right direction!

If it was last season, you could have stuck the GC ststue upfront instead of Connolly, it'd have been more mobile!
 
That was brilliant to see the old boys out and what a fantastic job the sculpture has done it’s an incredible statues to a club legend

It was great to meet the family

Well we finally got it and what a fitting tribute it is.

Well done to all involved.

Btw mogga was there and that to me say it all top top man

That was a special night.

We really are a very special club, I know there’s been mixed comments on mogga on here ( including me ) but for him to be there tonight with all that he had to do and with a game on Monday.

Good on Mogga, top, top man as you say, puts everything aside & knowing its his duty to be there for the special event

As I've said, I love Mogga the legend far, far more, than I dislike Sunderland

Good turnout for the playets who played a big part in our Boro history been there & thanks for the photos again

I'll get the gazette tomorrow for my daughtets scrapbook
