Bbc tees sport names their all time Boro prem league XI

I always want to put Queudrue in at LB instead of Ziege after he left under a cloud but it's probably right that Ziege makes the cut. He was unbelievable that season for us. Frightening left foot.

Similar to Hignett because he was part of the Ayresome era and didnt come with a big reputation/play for his country/big wages etc etc

EDIT saw alot more of the Premier League with Boro than Hignett was still with the club until 2002

On the subject of boro legends from the past Fjortoft's charity game hasnt had a mention since we came out of lockdown.

Indeed. Every exciting set of summer signings made me think, "this could be it for Robbie", yet somehow he kept getting picked and kept being one of our most dependable players.

I suppose dependable's not very exciting, but if you're picking our best ever PL team rather than a top 10, he has to be in it.
