That's the obvious plan but I'm not sure they've not let the gap go out too far. Laporte still to play a part.I'd suspect they plan on riding up to him rather than for him to drop back but he's deffo part of a plan - hopefully they can do something to light up the race.
A combination of the tactics, his youthful overenthusiasm wanting to win everything in the first week and the heat which he apparently hates. He had his jersey open even before they hit the hills.
