Don’t think many do. This is the legacy of the Tories right here for anyone considering voting for them. They could immediately take VAT off fuel for 12 months, cut NI for 12 months and introduce a levy for second homes and homes over £1m. HMRC are also not fit for purpose and should be making Amazon and the like pay a tax rate of every other business in this country on every penny earnt in this country. Its just crazy.
Do you fix and pay a fortune, or crack on and pay a fortune.
I dont have the flexibility in my budget to accommodate doubling of everything every year. Madness.
Me neither !Dunno how I'm gonna pay it
You most likely won't need to. Government will give households another grant to cover most of it.Dunno how I'm gonna pay it

They'll pass that on to those using the launderette. It's the customers you should feel sorry for. It's bad enough at home. Yet you really have to feel for buisness that use electricity.
I was chatting to a lady who works in a local laundrette. It's was a 24hr/365 laundrette. They had a yearly electricity bill of £9600 (ish) last year.
This year they are expecting it to be over treble that around 35k+. So now it's only open in the day and not 365 to save money. Some pretty stunning figures for a small laundrette.
God knows what these large factories and warehouses must go through in terms of equipment and heating etc.

You will be getting £400 in October on top of the £150 council tax rebate (If band A-D). Once the new price cap is announced the Government will probably announce more help. Plus councils have a discretionary fund you can apply for if you are in hardship. When bills have gone up £2500-3000+ we get another £200......
Not all businesses will be able to do that and keep a big enough customer base to remain profitable. A lot will go to the wall. Mainly small independent businesses sadly. They'll pass that on to those using the launderette. It's the customers you should feel sorry for.
Id move your horses to another stable if he's worried about the lights being on for a few minutes. The farmer where we keep our horses has just whinged at my Mrs for turning the lights on so she could muck the stables out, the barn has no sky lights and while you can see where your going in the isles in the stables it’s pretty much black regardless of what time of the day it is. Going to be an interesting Conversation when I go there this afternoon and point out his legal responsibilities and what will / could happen to him if someone has an accident because he’s trying to save a few pennies.
