Anyone know if Spence has turned up at Rockliffe?

Well that's obvious, we could sign anyone from the northern league if we don't sell spence.
We need to sell Spence to get at least 2 decent strikers if we want to be where we want to be

That's your opinion, mine is that us signing a striker isn't dependent on selling Spence - the delay is due to the calibre of striker we want to sign means there's both complex negotiations and is probably dependent on the selling club getting their targets in.

I think absolutely we need to sell Spence to bring forwards in, no question about it
Long run yes from a FFP perspective, but if it rumbles on for a few weeks I don't think Gibson would be prepared to miss out on a target, gykores for example, purely because the spence deal hasn't been finalised. Regardless of what happens he is still a financial asset.

It's also not a 15 mil to spurs or nothing scenario. If this deals falls through, he is still a player under contract who we could make plenty of profit from regardless to who or where we sell him.

I’d of had the pic of snarling with that cigar on his locker this morning, with “welcome home Djed”.

"....The north London club have agreed a £20 million deal with Championship club Middlesbrough for Spence who will challenge Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty for the right wing-back slot. The England U-21 international spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest where he was one of the club’s best players, helping the Tricky Trees return to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.

The Evening Standard reports that both players should join the club this week with Spurs ...........The Lilywhites anticipate both players will link up with the squad ahead of their pre-season tour in South Korea."

"Tricky Trees"? Bloody hell, are newspapers still writing this way? I mean, I know it's the Express, but even so...

Thank flip for that.
Its dragging on...
Why dont Spuds just cough up the reported £20M?
It stands us in good stead that weve stood our ground and not given in.
If Spuds hadnt got him, it appears there were others ready to dive in.
Anybody else fancy doing business with Wilder an the Boro?!!!!(y)
