Of course not.. they have a great track record of building quality offerings on Redcar seafront, just look at the vertical pier and the Hub!All seems to have gone very quiet with regard to an operator for it. From the outside it looks fantastic. I just hope its not a massive white elephant. I can't believe the council committed to rebuilding it without a contract in place for an operator.
Because the council 'found him difficult to work with'. I would imagine it would be the other way around.Sure there is other cinemas this size that run at a profit.
Why don't the council get the guy who ran the Regent for years to come back in then they run it themselves with him at the helm so to speak.
I think you are a proper film buff or even a producer.I'm having a Cinema Paradiso moment.
The Crimson Pirate,
It's a Mad....World,
Lawrence of Arabia,
(the Connery Bond films).
If...,
Women in Love,
The French Connection.
The national anthem (and nipping out to avoid it).
I’m no fan of the council but the Vertical pier is a focal point of the seafront, looks great on an evening (in the dark ) and hosts the best bar in the town at the foot of it. The hub is full of small businesses.Of course not.. they have a great track record of building quality offerings on Redcar seafront, just look at the vertical pier and the Hub!
I hear the plans for the new Monorail look fantastic too.. what could go wrong with that, just ask the people of Brockway, Ogdenville, andNorth Haverbrook
The hub is over half empty. And always has been.I’m no fan of the council but the Vertical pier is a focal point of the seafront, looks great on an evening (in the dark ) and hosts the best bar in the town at the foot of it. The hub is full of small businesses.
Worrying the cinema issues still haven’t been resolved though. Kirky gardens was ridiculously expensive as well and from what I’ve seen isn’t even all that.
According to a councillor it was 97% full in November. I reckon I’m closer with my statement than you are if the councillor is to be believed. The hub is over half empty. And always has been.
