Rumour on the other forum he’s in talks with a club about leaving. Would be disappointed to see him go as it means another player we will need to replace and I like him and think he’s a good back up for Giles. Sounds like Bola wants to move back south and get regular first team football which he can definelty get at this level as a left back. Just thought it was worth sharing on here too, to see what peoples thoughts were.

Yeah I agree, with Bola I simply think it’s the formation change that’s done him. He’s an excellent left back but a pretty average wing back although I still think he would be adequate cover for us in that position. It’s a shame but I can see his reasons if he is indeed pushing a move. Will be interesting to see what happens.
 
wouldn't be greatly surprised, but as said leaves us short of cover. I wonder how close Bilongo is to the first team, he was involved in some of the early training session pictures / videos.
 
I had thought he could potentially slot into that left centre back role but I always thought he was one of the guys Wilder was referring to as “unpopular” decisions he would need to make. I think he could make the step up to the prem if he found consistent form and confidence. Apparently very technically good compared to the rest of the squad. We are very light down the left and I think Bola is better than average in the Championship
 
Bilongo could be a shout if he impresses, Gibson can play both sides too although right footed. I presume Coulson will be loaned out or sold.
 
I think unless we sign a replacement we’d see Tav as back up LWB. Unless Coulson has impressed in pre-season but can’t see it.

Bola wants to go back down south apparently.

Suppose Jones could move over, Tav could play there and then the young lads mentioned above. Wouldn’t want to move Tav though.
 
I got the impression early on last season when wilder arrived that he didn’t fancy him . At lest he’s not messing around and getting things done .
 
I like Bola. but he's never been the same since he was charged with bringing the game into disrepute (or whatever the trumped-up charge was). He seemed to go into his shell, didn't seem happy - none of that yelping and jumping on his teammates when we scored - and seemed to lose his confidence to beat a man. Maybe he has personal issues, I dunno. A change of club might be the best for him.
 
If he wants back to the smoke and guaranteed regular game time - its right for him.
He did well before injury and we know he is more than capable.
Sometimes it just the right time to move on.
Wilder will have plans to cover and replace players.
Lets face it, he`s got shot of at least 6 players, with two or three more ready to go out the door.

When he came on as a sub against Fulham he was outstanding.
Dropped of quickly, never got to that level again. I think hes a confidence player and he got the wrong side of Wilder.

Was the best he performed that in a long time. His other games at wing back under Wilder weren’t quite the same unfortunately.

I would still be happy for him to stay as back up but feel there is probably something in this rumour
 
As Diego said I think hes been a victim of too managers with different formations and ideas. He lacks a good final ball to play as wing back and our creativity has to improve this season.

As an over lapping full back and a winger to play with I think hes excellent.

Wonder how much we will get for him 1.5 mil maybe 2?

Spot on this. He likes to play behind a winger and he’s at his best when he can combine and interchange. Not the same when he is the sole man out wide and is expected to bring all the creativity.

Hopefully get a good fee and the lad has a good go of it some where else. Would wish him well
