If you have to change or omit the sponsor from the kids shirt, that's probably a pretty major sign that you should not be on board with that company

I know Im flying against popular opinion when I say I hate the white band across the chest. Id prefer just a plain all red. That was our traditional kit colour.
The white band just highlights the betting ad and as somebody else said on another thread its a sandwich board gambling ad.

F*ck me that's awful. I don't overly care as always wear my old ones.
Yet it's awful. Pretty much every fan made emulator ones were better (some stunning).
The biggest issue is the garish sponsor logo. We've just got shot of a gambling company. Its not even that it's the ridiculous 'player safety' logo underneath. It says it all when a sponsor comes with the need of a fecking safety logo. Just looks like a betting company advert

Because gambling addiction ruins lives and is getting more widespread throughout the country.
Advertisement and ease of access to gambling does not help the situation.
Most gambling companies also preach about responsible gambling but in fact do very little to actually put into practise

I can understand the frustration about the sponsors logo, but it's business, there will be a limited number of firms wanting their name on our shirt and we're generally going to go with the best financial package. It has nothing to do with aesthetics or how it goes with the kit, so unfortunately we have to put up with it. Personally I'd prefer to not have a gambling firm as a sponsor but its economics.
I do think some of the comments above are OTT and largely based on a lot of people seemingly not wanting Errea. I do think there's a lot of brand snobbery in the North East.
I'll reserve judgement on the kit until I see it in person as you can't tell properly from electronic pictures, colour tones are never exact and also fabric quality comes into whether a kit is decent or not too.
The collar will depend very much on how it sits when buttoned or unbuttoned, but I don't hate it and don't love it upon initial view it just seems ok. I also have to bear in mind, as a middle aged bloke with a gently blossoming kite, I'm not really the target market these days! My days of queuing up overnight to be in the first 100 to get it are long gone.
