Anyone else thinking about their funeral music?

Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
Cheerio, here I go, on my way
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
Not a tear, but a cheer, make it gay
Give me a smile I can keep all the while
In my heart while I'm away
Till we meet once again, you and I
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye

Together in electric dreams for me "although your miles and miles away, I see you every day, I don't have to try, I just close my eyes, I close my eyes"

After flying home at short notice for my dads earlier last month, I have given it a bit of thought. Dad did have some that he wrote down (Old Rugged Cross and Abide with me) which were staples and almost traditional to play at funerals in his family.
I was just thinking that maybe it should be up to the people you leave behind, as its a way for them to remember you, rather than how you wanted to be remembered, but shudder to think what mine would be!!!!!

Yup.

It'll be timed so as I'm carried in and when it gets to 4:10 that will be the moment I'm plonked down in front of everyone.

And the Bish has to say:

"You will be the land, and the land will be you. If you fail, the land will perish; as you thrive, the land will blossom."

'There's a ghost in my house'.

Seriously though, it's not just you, BB. In recent years two of my friends from school passed and both had very appropriate picks for the funeral service. I went through my whole itunes collection, last year, and the only tracks that would do were the Sandy Denny / Fairport tracks mentioned above.

I’d thought about having Fire too, followed by ”The In Crowd” can’t choose between Dobie Gray or Bryan Ferry’s version though.
