Spence welcoming Warnock to Twitter..

Who told him he wasn’t needed at Boro?
I think it’s pretty obvious if we let him go to Forest. Warnock obviously felt he didn’t fit in here (most likely due to his opinion of his attitude), so we allowed him to leave, which suited both parties. We both gain from his success. I would have rather he did well at Boro, but no way I would have forecast how well he has played for Forest over a nigh on full season.

I honestly think that the most successful people I have met have always been the least bitter, and would be very unlikely to “clap back” at their doubters. Probably something to do with being honest in their introspection and really self-assured at the same time.

That said, perhaps in the world of competitive sport you need a little bit of what Spence has shown with his post; a bit of attitude or spite to give you an edge at the very top. And perhaps in a few years time, Spence might just thank NW for giving him the opportunity to exercise that.

It's just the naivety of youth. He will look back at it in 5-10 years and realize his error in judgement.

Just trying to think of it from his perspective: shipped out on loan and fell on his feet. Won promotion and won some plaudits and has a bit of beef with a prior manager. We've all been prats at 21 years old and I'm glad social media didn't exist when I was 21!

It's a bit classless. I mean the guys just won a playoff final and this is one of the first things on his mind

I doubt it was spontaneous and probably planned in advance with Warnock now on twitter.

In some ways he should be thanking Warnock. He wouldn't be at Wembley and promoted had he not loaned him out. He definitely wouldn't be on the verge of a big money move.

He does sometime appear to be a bit of a tool. Just sell him and be done.

I'm guessing he still realises that we are his employer?

I’d wind him up and bring him back and tell him he is to rot in the reserves for 12 months, but then sell him for an over valued £35 million to the new Saudi owners of Newcastle..to see him sit on the bench for a full season

If you bring him back you play him
Him and Jones would do to Championship defences what he and Johnson did this season for Forest

When will he have last talked to Warno? September last year? Bad to be so bitter, especially during what may well turn out to be a career highpoint. Spence may never win at Wembley again.

I think Spences dig might have been a reaction to Warnock posting support for Huddersfield on twitter in the run up to Wembley.

I honestly think the club are better off without either.

The whole football world know Spence is leaving all that matters to me as a Boro fan is the size of the fee.

It's just a lack of class. But I'm sure Warnock can handle it. I've no problem with someone taking satisfaction from proving someone wrong, but there are far better ways to do it. Do a written interview with a journalist or something. Just comes across as very childish.

What this probably shows is that whether intentionally or unintentionally Warnock has done him a huge favour. Whatever has gone on its lit a fire under Spence that he probably didn't have before (and certainly needed). It might well have made his career for him.

Wonder if he'll ever realise it.

Didn't his Boro career really come to an end over a scooter at Hurworth and an injury caused by it to Bola(?)
Just looked this up and apparently, it was Kebano last season. Pulled his hamstring whilst pushing Djed's scooter around. Unless something else happened with Bola?
