New Elizabeth Line

It does look good. Even if it's really late and well over budget! As most projects of that scale tend to be!

£20 billion so far and its not finished yet. I think the date for full completion is sometime in 2023.

It appears around 30% of people using London Transport are working from home permanently, so demand has dropped from predicted levels too.

Looks good.

8 minutes is good, what did it take before the line opened?
Its very good compared with before.

From Kings Cross would have to get Victoria Line or tube to London Bridge on either the train or Northern Line and then change for the Jubilee. Or train to Blackfriars, tube to Tower Hill and then DLR. In short. 30 mins on a very good day. From Paddington would take at least 45 mins. From Padd on new line its 17 mins.

The line was started in 2009 and approved in 2007? It's more of a Labour Party baby isn't it?

The thinking at the time was to increase wealth creation in London and South East and us some of it to pay welfare benefits for those in the old Industrial areas and educate their kids to get jobs in London. (as a generalistion) . You will not find that in any official document, but that was what was increasingly happening.

I meant between Farringdon and Canary Wharf?
