I Know its all about getting 6 points from the last 2 games and hoping Sheff Itd slip up but we could , in theory also catch Luton if they were to lose their last 2 games. They’re away at Fulham on Monday which I’d expect them to lose and then it’s The lottery of the last game of the season at home to Reading.

Yes, looking at the table most would think that there is no real chance for us overhauling them. But If Fulham win, it could be a final week showdown.
I expect them to get a play off place - what a great season they have had.

We would lose at home to Reading as that would be typical boro, Luton will not lose to Reading as no other team is as typical boro as us

Fulham could do us a big favour re' Luton & Sheff Utd. I can't see Luton losing at home to Reading though.

I also can't see beyond a QPR loss tomorrow night. Their form is appalling. Bottom of last 8 games, second bottom of last 10, third bottom of last 12.

There isn't a better team for Sheff Utd to be playing.

Edit: I think we need to assume that, and hope for at least Fulham draw in the final game. If Sheff win heavily tomorrow it will be disappointing though.

Can’t see Sheff U winning heavily. I think they will feel the pressure tomorrow. I actually think it will be a draw or a QPR win

Did you see Reading winning 2-1 at Bramall Lane?

Hoping Luton lose to an “on the beach” Reading is as forlorn as hoping we sign Phil Foden next season. And when I say on the beach Reading will be decked in blue and white hooped swimming togs and carrying a large inflatable ball, bucket and spade and windmills on sticks.

True, I didn't. Especially when Sheff Utd equalised in the 90th minute!! - I hope I'm very wrong. I just think Reading will ease off now they've got over the line, even if it's unintentional.

I can't see qpr beating Sheff UTD. I've watched them a few times on sky and they have been awful for weeks.

Although Sheff UTD are struggling for fit forwards. Thank god Sharps been out a month.

I can't see Luton blowing a 5 point gap. Reading is as 'on the beach' as you can get. Also probably play a few fringe players.

To be fair I'm sure clubs are looking at our fixtures and thinking 'Boro have it easy'. Knowing us sheff UTD will get beat and we'll lose 🙁

I think there'll be a shock result in the last 2 rounds of fixtures, I just hope we can take advantage.

But if there isn't, we just need to try and get another 6 points.
Finishing on 73 points would still be 4th our best tally since relegation in 2009, and a sign of improvement since the last 2 seasons.

Yeah but do you remember ‘on the beach’ Leicester turning up at Ayresome Park in 1988 and crushing Bruces promotion party on the last day of the season? Apart from it bring without doubt my most miserable experience as a Boro fan, proves it can be done.

To be fair we might not need for Luton to lose against Reading. They could lose to Fulham and draw with Reading and we would have the same number of points. Our GD's are similar so no reason to think we couldn't overturn it.

I always remember Fulham holding us to a 0-0 during the relegation season, when they were comfortable midtable and had nothing to play for.
