exactly, in terms of a politician Starmer although not whiter than white, is on the more honest end of hte spectrum, and if people are intellectually honest about it, it IS a spectrum, not just a binary "liar-honest person" categorisation. If it were binary everybody on the planet falls in the category of liar, because everyone has told a lie at some point.
So, now that we've established it as a spectrum, and that Starmer generally tells the truth, despite the media consistently trying to entrap him in comments for right wing click bait. Then now we look at the government, and Johnson in particular. Lying is his Modus Operandi, he's been sacked twice for it, he lied to the queen to prorogue parliament, he's lied to at least 2 of his wives about his fidelity, he's lied about how many children he has, he lied about the culture in number 10 of having parties while we were in lockdown and he lied about leaving the single market. The man even lies about his name, it's Alexander. Lying is more common than truth once you look into Johnson's history, not just white lies, not lies that impact no one, not misinterpretations, or good faith false statements, but blatant bare faced lies.
