Errea back next year?

There are different grades of shirt. The match shirts that Errea produced for the First team were of a massively higher spec than the replica shirts sold in the club shops.
The Errea model was all about maximising profit from a limited market:
The Club prioritised in theUK, with design and supply flexibility.
Cheap shirts sold at full price only available from the club outlets.
Errea got UK foot in the market, Boro got maximum profit, Boro made virtually all the profit from the entire value chain and the shirts cost buttons.

The global clubs have different models, see Chelsea's guaranteed £60m per season deal with Nike.
If you are trying to be global you need global exposure and distribution. Boro aren't so will choose the way that makes them most profit, with a variety of contributory factors.
Adidas and Nike are not comfy bed fellows with 2022 Boro.

The biggest mistake by far is messing with the identity of the club.
The chest band provides this and should be defining, together with "Boro".

Agree on the chest band. It doesn't have to be that restrictive either, it can be thinner, wider, around the back, not around the back etc to give a bit of variability.

I agree with the above but For whatever reason the club just aren’t interested in building an identity.

No idea why but it’s seems the case.

"Some commercial guy" is not really what Graham Fordy deserves.

Graham was the only reason that S&N became a lead player in the rescue of MFC in 1986.
No Graham Fordy, no S&N. No S&N, no rescue. Graham was a board member of the club from 1986.
It was Colin Henderson and Graham Fordy who practically did most to actually save the club, and it was Henry Moscowitz who provided most funding.
Steve Gibson at the time provided energy, but little cash or experience. Steve's time came on relegation from the top flight in 93.
Since then he has been the only figure at the Club.

Graham Fordy has been an extremely significant man at MFC since that summer of 1986.
When both ICI and S&N withdrew and Gibson acquired their shareholdings, Graham (and Reg Corbidge) and Colin Henderson were no longer directors.
Steve Gibson retained Graham Fordy as Commercial Director, reporting in to Keith Lamb as Chief Exec.
Graham was forced out by the current Chief Exec shortly after his arrival.

Graham then went to work full time for Errea as UK lead.
He is a smashing fella to this day.

Boro in Umbro would be a bit of a childhood dream come true. Loved their 90's kits and I do like what they do now, taking an individual approach to each club.

I think the modern Hummel kits have been great all in all, and I can't say I'm disappointed with the quality of the ones I have - they still do the job when used - but I think the writing has been on the wall since being unable to buy this season's home shirt for months. The green shirt felt like a bit of a missed opportunity too.
Exactly. Individual approach is all I ask for personally. Nobody wants kits that look like everybody else's just in different colours which is what we'd get if it were to continue to be Hummel or it be Adidas or Nike.

Covid supply issues?

This is the only shirt I've had from Hummel. Easily my favourite and for once it actually fit properly...just (I'm 6ft 3).
