People pointing laser pen lights at players — ridiculous. I hope they stamp this out soon. Apart from that the game has been littered with niggling fouls and injuries.
 
It's not a particularly stable country, and there's a lot of trouble there, but I'd quite like Mali to win their play-off against Tunisia tonight.

It would be their first ever appearance at a World Cup.
 
I just don’t get the refereeing in other continents—especially Africa. Much less stringent almost like they’re playing a different game.

I always think the African top teams are much of a muchness.

The 5 teams who qualify won't be any better than the 5 they beat, and a couple more like Ivory Coast and South Africa who didn't make the last 10.

It may be that the typical standard is no better in Europe, but we always have 4-5 nations who are a cut above the rest
