Yes, it should not be beyond the wit of man to get Boro fans on those empty seats. It will be very disappointing that the biggest game we have had at the riverside for a good few years will have upto 5k needless empty seats
Exactly this. People need to keep calm. This is a highly unusual situation and no doubt the clubs will be trying to work out a compromise. Its going to be a last minute scramble if we can eventually sell them but such is life. Im hoping Chelsea will be able to have some support however, just not the same without away fans (no matter who they are!).I assume Chelsea bought and paid for their allocation before the restrictions were imposed so I'm not sure how they would give them back to us as I assume we can't give them a refund.
If that is the case, why don't they just give them away for free, it would make for a better atmosphere than leaving them empty.I assume Chelsea bought and paid for their allocation before the restrictions were imposed so I'm not sure how they would give them back to us as I assume we can't give them a refund.
I thought that, but not sure if they are allowed, other wise there is no reason why they couldn't hold a ballot? It might be linked to them not being able to provide transport for the supporters (just a guess as I have no idea)???If that is the case, why don't they just give them away for free, it would make for a better atmosphere than leaving them empty.
Guess another option maybe that Chelsea 'gift' them to their fans although time is running out for alot of these decisions.
That is what I said above - 'give them away for free.' It would be better than empty seats.Guess another option maybe that Chelsea 'gift' them to their fans although time is running out for alot of these decisions.
It is time we gave the whole of the south stand to home fans and made blocks 42 & 43 in the east stand for away fans.MFC manager to configure the stadium to give the whole of the south stand to home fans when we played Brentford in the playoffs.
Where there's a will....
Some of us have actually sat in blocks 42 and 43 since the stadium opened. It is time we gave the whole of the south stand to home fans and made blocks 42 & 43 in the east stand for away fans.
