You get to change two things about football

What would they be?

Mine would be to shake up the domestic cups, I would make the FA cup UK wide,

My second thing would be to take the champions League spot from 4th place and give it to the fa cup winners

Wage cap, but would have to be set at different levels for each league. Would hopefully make clubs more sustainable, would create a more level playing field.
You might initially see players leaving for Spain, France etc, but it might bring through more UK based players, more UK based players playing in the European competitions wouldn't be a bad thing. There are ways around as has been seen with Saracens and over here with the NRL, but you have to be shifty and chances are you'll get caught out.
Maximum squad sizes.

One other thing that irritates me from a purist perspective is foul throws . Rules are rules so keep your feet on the ground and ball behind your head 🤬

No offside until goal side of a line drawn across the field 18 yards from the goal line.

Offside determined only by position of feet, not knees, hips, shoulders or anything else.

Bring in the same regime that referees command in rugby . The slightest inkling of grief and the @rsewipe is given what for with no doubt who is in charge .

Foot firmly up top 6 @rses into wherever they want and no returns ( you’ve made your bed now sleep in it )
This, simple as this, it'd stop the histrionics and childish behaviour that have stopped me watching football.

The one positive of VAR was that it was supposed to be neutral as it would judge all sides equally and use technology to level the playing field.

of course then filling the VAR lab with the same old biased tossers that it was intended to replace to rule over these decisions killed this stone dead.

so I’d like to see 100% fair referee at games to give all sides an equal chance be they home or away as this just does not happen anymore in this country.

I would change ticket pricing.
£20 all round for professional football. £10 cap for non league football.
Paying nearly £40,£50 for 90 minutes of football that could be a dreadfully boring 0-0 draw can't be ok.

I’d change the fact that Spurs are considered part of a “big 6” despite being nowhere near as successful as Everton or Aston Villa historically or in my lifetime or even Leicester just in the last 25 years. Have only won the league twice and not for 60 years.

I would change the financial structure. The tv money would get placed in a pot and distributed more fairly and encourage grass roots football. Distribution would be based on need. This would mean that local amatuer clubs get what they need before the PL clubs get their cut.

This would mean there was less money to pay players so wages would naturally cap at a level the sport could sustain. The argument that the PL clubs could not compete in european competitions, as they could not attract the best talent, would be true for a while. But, if grass roots football is looked after properly, you have a bigger local talent pool to pick from.

This would improve football immeasurably.

Secondly I would mike referees, I can't see Adidas wanting to sponser a player who is f'ing at the referee and their customers can hear this. In addition if a player swears in the vacinity of a referee it is an instant red card.

Right, football is sorted, should I move on to a cure for corona virus?
