Aaron Connolly and Folarin Balogun

That's fine, but they looked wobbly as heck. I think a really superb performance up front would have had a few more goals.

Having said that stand by my original post that they both worked hard. Definitely the best game either have had since joining.
Both worked very hard.

Not a great deal of quality outside of Balogun’s assist though I think we will see more of this from Balogun.

Positive signs.

I don't know what Wilder said when he came on at the end, but Sporar liked it judging by his smile
I’m 99per cent certain he was joking that he’s just brought Duncan on and he’s scored straight away and that sporar had to do the same!

Thought Connolly started the game off poorly. He was unable to trap the ball and wasn't even attempting to win headers however he really grew into the game and did well. I just felt sorry for him that he didn't get his goal.

I've made this point before but we really need to be trying to play through balls or balls over the top for him. At one point in the 1st half he wanted McNair to play him through but McNair didn't attempt the ball over the top and I could see how frustrated Connolly was. Play to his strengths.

I also thought Balogun grew into the game and was again unfortunate not to score after Jones played him through in the 2nd half.

He did get a goal? Deflected but it’s still his goal.

Finally we got to see Connolly buy into Wilder’s style and it paid dividends. First time I’ve seen him consistently chase the ball down and it cause then issues all day long.

Balogun is really classy on the ball, don’t see any other of our strikers doing what he did for Watmore’s goal and I thought he should’ve had a penalty in the second half.

Yeah, looked to me as if he was shoved off the ball. Think anywhere else on the pitch that's a foul.

That move by Balogun reminded me of Mark Viduka.

They were brilliant, really linked up well together. By far the best game Connolly has had for us too. I was disappointed Watmore/Sporar didnt play after how good they looked the other night, but this gives us a great option for future games. Impossible to say who deserves to play against Bristol but we have 4 strikers who are all very good players, cant remember a time we have had that
