Press Conference 2pm

A good job Warnock isn't still manager as they would probably make Boro field a team of canteen staff.
At least the referee wouldn’t dare to approach NW to have a word with him!

Oh, on the same point, I bet nobody from SKY or the press, interview the Manager or players (i.e. Man of the Match) tomorrow, unless it is behind a perspex screen!

Played that less that 48 hours ago possibly a valid player in your squad

they played last night we play at noon that’s not not 48 hours.
It is a shambles zorro, I agree. If the rules are applied equally, we get on with it. If they are not, we play them then bring legal action unless, Vera has a blinder.

The returning loanees is bollix because midweek that couldn't have happened.

On the plus side you can get almost 5/1 on a Boro win.

But it mak
For me it's a simple question that each club should be able to answer, that is; can you field 14 'fit' players ie 1 goalkeeper 10 outfield players and 3 subs. It's the definition of 'fit' that has to be defined.
I'm with others get a team out and my goodness, what heroes they, the club would be.
But it makes a mockery of the league competition. You may as well just toss a coin for the results if half the teams are full of kids and returning loanees. Plus gathering a squad together during a Covid outbreak is just irresponsible

It doesn't matter how many were out through covid and how many injured. From the perrspective I am giving, poviding the rules are applied equally, we get on with it, just like blackpool did. I think blackpool had 5 center backs playing, possibly senior center backs, but still an organizational nightmare for the manager.
Or an absolute dream for Tony Pulis

I did wonder when Johnny Howson went down with CV how many of the first team he would be in close contact with, pretty much all of them I would guess, it wouldn't surprise me if we had more LFT failures tomorrow from the first team squad.

So we may have Lewis Wing starting the game a couple of hours after meeting the manager for the first time and not having trained with most of the team he's lining up with since August? Sounds fair. I believe Blackpool had one COVID case? And they managed to field a pretty decent team in the end.

This could be ridiculous.

Would make more sense to make up numbers with the kids who, at least, have some idea about Wilder's approach.

As I predicted Newcastle are now postponing games against team where the boost of newly recruited players might make the difference in a re-arranged fixture they should make them play only with player on the books at the time of the original fixture.

You may have noticed him being bent double a couple of times in the home game. Initially thought he might have been injured but it looked like he was on the point of throwing up.
