the TS interview was pre-recorded last week, and is going out to "celebrate" his record number of games - great timing!
I disagree with the last part. Was interviewed on sky about 5.50. Said he loved Steve, he had no help behind the scenes since he started at the club and that might have been different if Steve was as hands on as he used to be. Said he found out this morning in the papers before he got a phone call and the new manager was in place for 2/3 weeks. Said he missed out on 4 or 5 crucial players because the recruitment team were to slow and they went to other teams, but he believes that will be different now as have a new head of recruitment
To be fair, if that's how the sacking went, sounds like he's actually been far nicer than I would have been! Was interviewed on sky about 5.50. No, he literally said that the new manager would get those players.I disagree with the last part.
My take was he was blaming the head of recruitment for the issues.
Neither did IThanks. I didn't think he was TOO bad. I thought he sounded decent.
Yes he did.No, he literally said that the new manager would get those players.
He wasn't in before the transfer window closed. He stated in September, he can't be criticising him for the last transfer window.Yes he did.
But he also said the only one supporting him was Steve Gibson. The head of recruitment has been in for a few months now.
I think the agreement with Norwich was that he couldn't be officially appointed till after the transfer window. But we knew he was starting for months, I find it utterly unbelievable that he hasn't been involved in identifying players behind the scenes. He wasn't in before the transfer window closed. He stated in September, he can't be criticising him for the last transfer window.
Shut upSure he said the same about every club he managed, funny that…. Just the sort of man he is unfortunately. Just a shock that he hasn’t blamed a referee instead
Anyway we move on
Do you go to games?Whilst no fan of Warnock - I think he’s had his day - his comments are spot on. We are a basket case of a club. We have incompetent fools in charge of transfers. we try and agree ridiculous deals and watch as things stall and they sign for rivals. Dont know if that’s Bausor or Gibsons fault. If we could only show a little more ambition. we have often got two or three signings away from a really good squad with a fighting chance but pulled the plug too soon. Clearly due to finances but this makes us a graveyard for managers who can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

Ye and we have a new one nowI disagree with the last part.

Shut upHe leaves doing what he does best.
Complaining that it’s everyone else’s fault but his.
Gibbo is probably on the hook for a £100 million plus at this point. Granted a big chunk of that is probably his own fault, but we can't just throw money at stuff to get things over the line.Whilst no fan of Warnock - I think he’s had his day - his comments are spot on. I don’t think anyone can deny he has done a good job.If he'd done a good job then he wouldn't have had to be fired.
It's absolutely the right decision. Well done Steve Gibson.
MutualWas a bit confused with his comments. He said he knew 2-3 weeks ago about the new manager coming in, but told this morning he’s getting sacked?
Fair enough on that comment. He wasn't in before the transfer window closed. He stated in September, he can't be criticising him for the last transfer window.
