Morning r00fie ladMore chance of winning the Lottery chap.
Either that or start a bucket collection on matchdays
Too right fassyWe have a local owner and he’s the best chairman in football. Wouldn’t swap. It matters most that he’s local.
It will next year when they come up with a massive wedge of cash to throw itits working wonders at sunderland tho isnt it
Fair point. Personally I am happy to support the team I support, we had some time at the top and we might again one day, but we'll never be a 'big club' and I wouldn't want us to be. Imho aspirations need to be realistic. Newcastle and Leeds fans aspire to be Man Utd and Sunderland to be Newcastle, neither's ambition sustainable over the long term, as over 100 years of professional football has shown us.We wouldn’t attract major investment anyway. Crowds too low, debt too high, the amount of money needed would mean there’s far more attractive clubs than us.
Continued local ownership relates to continued mediocrity. However to a lot of people this is a price worth paying so some can beat their chests and claim we are locally owned- and that is the only thing that counts.
however
We’ve been left behind in terms of being able to compete in the division - let alone being able to dine at the big boys table of the Premier League.
This is the reality of the situation.
Hasn't their owner already said this is something they wont be doing? He wants them to be self sufficient I believe. It will next year when they come up with a massive wedge of cash to throw it
What makes him the best chairman in football? Some of the mistakes he has made over the last few years suggest anything butWe have a local owner and he’s the best chairman in football. Wouldn’t swap. It matters most that he’s local.
Too true, far too much insular thinking on this matter. But, as I said, pretty much irrelevant as our debt mountain makes a sale completely out of the question.I want owners who invest and make mainly good decisions, not local who only build debt and make awful decisions.
I want good players who play well together.
It’s nice if there is a local dimension, but no more than that.
Belated good morning young sirMorning r00fie lad
