Ken Loach expelled from the Labour Party

'So who do you believe, the BoD right wing Jews who have nothing to do with Labour or the left wing jews some of whom joined the party before Starmer was born'......

It's not right wing or left wing Jews. Its just jewish people who are at the receiving end of anti semitism. Racism doesn't differentiate based on the victims political persuasion.

Even if it did there are plenty, and easily the majority of Labour supporting or left learning jewish people, for whom the anti semitism was a first hand experience in online labour groups, at CLP level, conference etc. For example in 2019 the Jewish Labour movement had 2500 members. This is a an affiliated Labour group attacked by the hard left as having no place in the party due to it supporting Israels right to exist.

This peculiar victim blaming would only happen with anti Jewish racism because the perpetrators either don't recognise or understand anti semitism when they see it, willfully ignore it or just think it isn't even a thing as jewish people are privileged due to their largely white European background so can cope with a bit of anti semitism......In itself of course a classic left wing anti semitic trope.

Replace jewish with black or muslim people and all left wing liberal minded people would be up in arms and fully behind a zero tolerance approach. There'd be no looking for excuses, blaming the victims, telling the victims its all made up and so on........

Fortunately it's over. The irony of it all is that it took anti semitism in the party to bring together jewish people, practising and secular, of all walks of life(and political persuasions) across the country together in a reaffirmation of who they are and all that goes with it. For that at least they are grateful.
Why did nobody complain about A/S in the labour party when it was more common among members, ie before 2015? Why did all of the media begin their concerted attack on him before he had won the leadership race and before there had been any allegations of A/S (that was a tactic that came later)?

It was his politics they didn't like and you were all duped by this character assassination.

Notice during last election there was a dirth of posters smearing Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party with the "antisemitic" / "threat to national security" / "IRA Supporter" / "Saddam Hussein supporter" / "Communist" / "Terrorist" labels?.........Then it stopped as soon as it began.

Then - on behalf of Starmer and his acolytes: - to justify his attacks and expulsions of left wing Jews and socialists - up pops the "fly" in a space suit.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then Starmer hires this disreputable agent to "monitor" social media posts of Labour Party Members (!?):-

Imagine if Jeremy Corbyn had hired an ex - Chinese or Russian Intelligence Officer ["spy].
There is no such thing as a "former spy".

What is a former Israeli spy doing in the British Labour Party's head office?

Assaf Kaplan's work in notorious cyber unit that surveils and extorts Palestinians fits with Labour's new ethos under Keir Starmer

Kaplan’s online CV points to his history with the Israeli army’s military intelligence division, and a past employment profile highlights his years spent in the notorious Unit 8200, which has a long and ugly record of surveilling Palestinians. One of the unit’s main tasks, highlighted by a group of whistleblowers in 2014 and widely publicised in the British media, is to gain damaging information to blackmail individual Palestinians. They are then threatened into collaborating with Israel’s military authorities against fellow Palestinians.

Unit 8200 is the lynchpin of Israel’s success in maintaining its 54-year occupation, by engineering a policy of divide-and-rule among Palestinians and foiling any efforts they make to liberate themselves from Israeli oppression.

SAB I have explained this before so you either missed it or are ignoring it but the mural showed four non Jews and two Jews - all real people - counting their profits on the back of the slaves. It cannot be used as evidence of anti-Semitism, more anti Capitalism.

Claim: Jeremy Corbyn laid a wreath at the cemetery in Tunisia where the 1972 Munich Olympics terrorists were buried. In fact, the wreath was laid at the Palestinian cemetery in Tunisia, which has a memorial to the victims of the universally condemned 1985 Israeli bombing of the PLO headquarters, many of whom were civilians.
The Munich terrorists are buried in another country, Libya. Corbyn was in the wrong country.
Proof in the pudding.

I wonder who the other parliamentarians were, they never get mentioned.

That photo you post is Gerry Adams on a visit to london. Many people met him of course, including Blair, Thatcher and the Queen.

ProQuest search of UK newspaper articles:

'Jeremy Corbyn' and 'anti-semitism' before 1 May 2015 = 18 hits

'Jeremy Corbyn' and 'anti-semitism' after 1 May 2015 = 12,912 hits

None of the 18 hits accused Corbyn of anti-semitism. In his first 32 years as an MP it wasn't a theme.

Files just released by the National Archives [under the 30-year rule] show Margaret Thatcher took part in negotiations with the IRA during the 1981 Hunger Strikes, BBC investigative journalist Peter Taylor has said.

The contacts took place through an MI6 officer and a secret back-channel to the IRA code-named Soon.
Soon was Londonderry businessman Brendan Duddy.

Mr Taylor said Mrs Thatcher altered by hand one statement sent to the IRA.
"When I read these documents I was astonished," he said.

"I think that they are revelatory and of genuine historical importance because they give lie to all sorts of assumptions that were made incorrectly about the Hunger Strikes and the relationship between the government and the IRA.

"These documents spell it out large that Mrs Thatcher was involved in negotiations with the IRA."

[continued...]

With the United Kingdom’s right-wing press whipping itself up into a frenzy over the alleged sympathy of Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn for the Irish Republican Army during the thirty years of conflict in the UK-administered Six Counties, I thought I’d bring a bit of rationality to the subject.

I agree they did, but Corbyn said he never met the IRA, I could add other proof if you want. Unless you think Adam's was not in the IRA, it's just that the family of 10 whose mother was murdered by the IRA are pretty sure who did it. Again you could better.

Gerry Adams has always denied being a member of the IRA. You may choose not to believe him, of course.
As I say above a family of 10 without a mother have said it's Adams but what would they know. After all they did not know where their mothers body was for 30 years.

It's a big shift when the left use Thatcher as the good guy.

It's more to do with the fact that people bash Corbyn with this ****, but deny literally every leader from thatcher onwards met with the IRA, the tories even have an ex IRA member as a Councillor.

Again though, why has this thread been pushed back to bashing Corbyn? It's literally about the **** show going on now. Blaming Corbyn for Starmers and the right wings mess ups is absolutely pathetic and stops any actual progress.

I think it was right he should meet murders if it helps the situation, but why lie about it?

Sheer hypocracy . I will vote Labour no matter who the leader is, I had no problem voting for Corbyn. Ask the Grunt if he is voting labour.

Lisa Nandys said over the weekend that Corbyn shouldn't get the whip back until he apologises, and that if that means he stands as an independent in the next election running against a Labour candidate, that she'd go and knock on doors round Islington for the Labour candidate.

Quite interesting for a few reasons that I think.

1) she's high up in the party so you'd assume when she's saying that its with Starmers support. So their thinking seems to be more about how they campaign against Corbyn at the next election rather than about a reconciliation.
2) Nandys seat profile is just the sort I could see being at risk but if she's serious that she'd spend her time swanning off to north London maybe the party aren't worried about the red wall effect happening anymore. Seems odd given Hartlepool byelection was only a few months ago.
3) for all the talk on here of the Labour rights pragmatic desperation to simply win, here they are telling us they're planning on making a gamble of one of their safest seats. If it's Corbyn vs a party suit there's every chance Corbyn retains his seat. Even with Nandy knocking on doors.

Because he wasn't the leader of the opposition and potential prime minister!

I doubt anyone googled him about anything.

In his defence he obviously never thought he would be the leader of the Labour party. I doubt it ever crossed his mind. If it had he might have chosen his photo ops differently.......

Having lived in Islington North, I am of the opinion that Jeremy would retain that seat if they chose to take him on in that way. They‘d be wasting their time.
