In the words of Jason Statham in Snatch are “proper fuc**d”.

Apart from the obvious issues they have, I saw a video today which was basically Eddie Hearn doing an Instagram live - any way to cut a long story short he had two boxers on, one from LA one from New York - the lady from LA said that people don’t abide by the social distancing measures, the beaches are busy, cafes, nail bars, tattoo parlours etc are still open. What with that and other areas of the country rioting to protect “their rights” I think they will suffer for a long time and may not reach their peak for some time.

I know this is only a couple of examples but if this in anyway is representative of the mindset of country as a whole, I fear for them.

Its showing up a huge issue the USA has had for a long time. The amount of people with very little or nothing is becoming huge and there's not much in the way of help or social care. 6.6 million people were added to the unemployment statistics last week taking the total to over 20 million. Never been that high in history.

Just watching the evening news now. The same thing every night. Food drives running out of food long before the queue has gone. Yesterday they looked at Atlantic City. Virtually everyone is employed in the leisure industry and has been laid off. The whole system here is just so fukced up.

Just heard that from a friend in Delaware. Food becoming an issue.

Is it food shortages or people being unable to afford food bear?
It appears that the US economy is built on sand and many are living paycheck to paycheck. $1200 as a one-time payment isn't going to cut it.

Food shortages. Local stores run out and the drive by collections not having many items ordered.

It's not food shortages (yet). So many people live paycheck to paycheck and when they get laid off they have nothing. It can take months to get unemployment and that varies by state.

Damn. I forgot the (sic).

I get annoyed that they often leave out prepositions. For example:

'Donald Trump suggested that we drink disinfectant at the press briefing Thursday evening'

Where it should have been:

'Donald Trump suggested that we drink disinfectant at the press briefing on Thursday evening'
